History of MN Growers Ball

Back in 2024, when the winds of change were blowin’ through Minnesota like a fresh jazz tune on the wireless, a couple of Saint Paul kids turned cannabis-lovin’ grownups cooked up a bright idea. See, these two had spent their fair share of nights tending gardens, minding tents, and jawin’ with the finest green-thumbs in the state. When the Minnesota Craft Cannabis Caregivers Program got the nod from the legislature that same year, it felt like the perfect moment to throw a proper celebration. So they dreamed up the MN Growers Ball—a swanky night where patients, advocates, growers, and caregivers could step out from their gardens and into the spotlight for a classy evening on the town.

Well sir, the thing took off faster than a bootleg bottle at a speakeasy. Now in its third year, the MN Growers Ball has welcomed over 600 guests through its doors and hosted more than 70 vendors, all eager to show off Minnesota’s finest craft cannabis culture. Along the way, the Ball has crowned two proud MN Growers Ball Champions, each proving their garden game is the real McCoy. But more than the ribbons and razzle-dazzle, the whole affair stands as a roaring celebration of something bigger—the long-awaited end of cannabis prohibition in the North Star State. And every year the crowd gathers once more, dressed to the nines, to toast the growers who helped bring the plant—and the people—out of the shadows and into the spotlight. 🌿🎩
